Unai Emery wants Arsenal to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso this summer, but Bayern Munich are refusing to do business.
The Mirror reports that Emery would be happy to spend upwards of £60 million on the midfielder, but the Bundesliga champions are not interested.
Bayer see Tolisso as part of their long-term plan in the Bundesliga, meaning a deal is unlikely.
Emery wants to strengthen the Gunners’ midfield as he looks to put his own stamp on the squad this summer.
Tolisso has been identified as a possible target with Aaron Ramsey’s future remaining unclear.
The French international only joined Bayern from Lyon last summer and scored 10 times during his first campaign in Munich.
Emery is said to be keen on keeping Ramsey at the club, but concerns over his contract situation are rumbling on.
The new Arsenal manager is working on rebuilding the Gunners squad and is thought to be closing in on Borussia Dortmund’s Sokratis as his first signing.
