Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Barcelona to discuss the possibility of signing Ousmane Dembele.
Sport, who cite reports from L’Equipe claim that Sven Mislintat has spoken to the Catalan side about the player’s situation.
The player is facing an uncertain summer at the Nou Camp with his fellow countryman Antoine Griezmann looking set to join the club.
A series of injuries meant Dembele was unable to hold down a regular place in the Barcelona side last season.
Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the Frenchman and have recently been linked with a loan move for the player, something that has prompted Arsenal to step up their interest.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the player to the Premier League but may be forced into selling Mohamed Salah if the Reds want to sign him permanently.
Unai Emery is said to be a fan of the player and would be keen on bringing him to the Emirates this summer.
