Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is facing race against time to be fit for the summer’s World Cup after being rushed to hospital with a knee injury, according to Talksport.
He was training with his Switzerland teammates earlier today and was on the receiving end of a late challenge.
As a result, he was forced to leave the session and was aided off the pitch and then moved onto hospital.

His side begins their campaign against Brazil on the 17th June, but it remains to be seen whether he will be back in time for the start of the competition.
Prior to this, the nation face friendlies against Spain and Japan, but the Gunners midfielder is now unlikely to feature in either of these matches.
It comes as a real shame for the Arsenal midfielder after performing well for the club at the back end of last season meaning he was heading into the tournament in some fine form.
