Juventus man keen on move to Arsenal this summer
Arsenal have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Stephan Lichtsteiner, with the player said to be keen on the move to the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners want to sign Lichtsteiner on a free transfer this summer as his contract with Juventus reaches its expiry date.
Arsenal are intent on adding further experience and defensive quality to the ranks this summer and it appears as though the 34-year-old right-back is a target for their new boss, Unai Emery.
The Switzerland international is seeking a new challenge following a trophy-filled tenure with Juve and according to Di Marzio, he is attracted by the prospect of joining Arsenal.
Lichtsteiner is set to captain his side in their World Cup ventures this summer and it’s therefore likely that he will hope to have his future decided before he jets off to Russia with the Switzerland squad.
Arsenal will hope that the potential addition of Lichtsteiner can provide healthy competition for Hector Bellerin on the right-hand side of defence.
