Arsenal are looking to step up their summer recruitment with a move for Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet.
According to reports in Italy from Gianluca Di Marzio, the Gunners are planning talks with the player’s agent over a summer move.
The player has a £22 million release clause in his current deal with the Serie A club and has attracted interest from the likes of Napoli and Juventus in the past.
Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini has also been discussed as a potential transfer target and Praet could be seen as an alternative if they are unable to land the Italian midfielder.
The report claims that a move for both players is not out of the question, but it would appear that only one of them arriving at the Emirates is the most likely outcome this summer.
With Santi Cazorla looking set to leave the club, Praet’s creative influence could see him join as a direct replacement for the Spaniard.
