Arsenal have reportedly staged talks with Dennis Praet’s representative ahead of a potential summer move.
According to Italian news outlet Di Marzio, the Belgian midfielder has been identified as an alternative option for the Gunners if they fail with their pursuit of Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer.
Arsenal want to bolster their midfield options and have seemingly looked to Serie A for their recruitment, with Sampdoria’s Praet the latest name to be linked.

It’s claimed that Arsenal have already sounded out a move for Praet, having held preliminary talks with the former Anderlecht playmaker’s agent.
Praet has been a standout player for Sampdoria in recent times and it comes as no surprise to see interest from the Premier League building. Newcastle United have previously been touted as a potential destination for the player.
A move to secure Praet could be a feasible outcome for Arsenal, also, with the midfielder’s release clause at Sampdoria currently standing at €25m.
