Arsenal chances of signing goalkeeper improve
Arsenal have been given a sign of encouragement in their pursuit of Bernd Leno after his current side brought in a new goalkeeper, report Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old has been first choice at Bayer Leverkusen ever since his arrival in 2011 but the Gunners have been linked with him for a while.
They appear to have been given the green light to sign the German international with the Bundesliga side signing Lukas Hradecky from Eintracht Frankfurt after an impressive season.
This appears to suggest Leno won’t be with the club after the summer because neither will want to sit on the bench with the talent they possess.
It’s thought that a bid of around £20 million could bring the player to the Emirates, despite him still having two years left on his contract.
Leno has made over 250 appearances for Leverkusen and helped the side finish fifth this season, but is thought to be interested in a move to Arsenal with an overhaul expected this summer.
