Besiktas eye ambitious move for Arsenal star
The transfer window has now opened and Arsenal are among the clubs looking for some new players. However, in order to balance the books, and the squad, some players may be shown the door.
Danny Welbeck has had an injury-hit spell at Arsenal and this summer Turkish side Besiktas are reportedly looking to bring him in.
Welbeck is part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Russia. Hhe joined the Gunners back in 2014 but has failed to keep a regular spot in the side since joining.
Reports in Turkey suggest that Besiktas are considering making a move for the 27-year-old, who would replace Anderson Talisca, who is heading back to Benfica following a two-year loan spell.
Unai Emery is the new Arsenal boss and Welbeck is likely to wait to discover if he has a future under him before making a decision about his future, even though his contract has only 12 months left to run.
