Jack Wilshere has hit out at England manager Gareth Southgate after he wasn’t selected to represent England at the upcoming World Cup this summer.
Wilshere made a total of 38 appearances for Arsenal this season, but wasn’t named in Southgate’s 23-man squad, with Jordan Henderson, Dele Alli, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jesse Lingard and versatile midfielder-cum-defenders Fabian Delph and Eric Dier making the list.
Now, one day after the squad’s announcement, Wilshere has broken his silence, saying he thinks he deserves to be there in Russia.

Despite declaring his disappointment at not being given a chance to make an impact for the Three Lions, Wilshere did say he respected the manager’s right to a decision and wished the squad well.
