Arsene Wenger says Mikel Arteta’s qualities are good enough to make him a top class manager.
According to reports, Wenger says Arteta has all of the qualities needed to succeed him at Arsenal.
Former captain Arteta is now the favourite to replace Wenger, after several candidates pulled themselves out of the race.

Wenger told Bein Sports:
Overall, he has the qualities but I don’t want to influence that publicly. I believe it is important they make their choice in an objective way and after made that decision I will support him. He was a leader, has good passion for the game, knows the club and knows what is important at the club.
Arteta, 36, has been a coach at Manchester City for the last two seasons, as the number two to Pep Guardiola and has recently been crowned a Premier League champion.
Arsenal have also contacted another former captain, Patrick Vieira, but it is believed that the Frenchman has not received any feedback with the Telegraph saying he fears he may be overlooked.
