Arsenal are in the hunt to sign Chelsea target Jean-Michael Seri from Nice this summer after it emerged their head of football relations was still in contact with his representatives, according to Get French Football, who cite L’Equipe.
The Gunners will be looking to strengthen as they try to get back into the top four of the Premier League and they won’t be afraid to spend to do it.
That has been shown by the signings of forwards Alexandre Lacazette last summer and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.
Arsenal announced Raul Sanllehi as their new head of football relations in November and he officially joined the club in February.
Previously he was at Barcelona, who came close to signing Seri from Nice last summer, only for it to fall through at the last minute.
It has now come to light that Sanllehi has kept in contact with the Ivorian’s representatives and Arsenal are emerging as one of the main clubs looking to buy him.

The 26-year-old has played over 100 times for the French club since joining them in 2015, but his time there looks to be coming to an end with a number of clubs interested.
Sanllehi’s links could give the North London side the advantage to sign Seri, but they will still have to beat the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea to his signature.
