Midfielder set to put pen to paper on Arsenal deal

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to commit his long term future to the club, with a new contract nearly finalised, according to the Mirror.

The deal is set to be a new three year contract which also has an option of a further year as he commits to stay at the Emirates until 2022.

Up to this point, it had proven difficult for the Gunners to get Wilshere to sign a new deal, but an improved offer has been put on the table which the 26-year-old has agreed to sign.

The contract is set to be worth around £90,000-a-week, but will include complex add-ons and incentives to take his weekly salary up towards what it is on his current deal.

Wilshere is an Arsenal fan and was keen to continue his journey with the club as he looks to build on his sold performances this season which have, for the most part, been pretty strong.
