Arsenal’s hopes of signing Norwich star kept alive

Norwich star, James Maddison has had his dreams of a big summer move to a Premier League club kept alive after being told that his knee injury is not as serious as first thought, with Arsenal seriously interested.

The Mirror are reporting that Manchester City, Tottenham, Everton, Brighton and Southampton are also chasing the England Under-21 midfielder.

Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase for Maddison as the club look to bring in a host of new faces in the summer, with the club preparing for their first season without Arsene Wenger since 1996.

Maddison sustained a knee injury when Norwich faced Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

It was first thought that Maddison could face up to six months on the sidelines, meaning any potential move for the youngster would have been put on hold.

Maddison now looks set to return to training for pre-season where a host of Premier League clubs will be sniffing around the youngster.

Maddison has made 44 appearances in his first full campaign at Carrow Road, scoring 14 goals and making it into the Championship Team of the Season.
