Arsene Wenger’s final match at the Emirates as Arsenal boss ended in style as his side dispatched Burnley 5-0.
A brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Alex Iwobi and Sead Kolasinac helped to claim a much-needed win on an emotional day in North London.
The Gunners were dominant for the most part, with Burnley rarely causing the hosts problems in what was another strong home performance from Wenger’s side.
It was the perfect response after the disappointment of Thursday night in Madrid, as Arsenal exited the Europa League.
Wenger signed off well to back up the brilliant home form this season, which has seen them pick up 47 points in front of their supporters – a tally which equals Premier League champions Manchester City.
The Gunners next face Leicester City in the Premier League before Wenger’s spell at the club comes to an end with a final day trip to Huddersfield Town.
