Arsenal lost to Atletico Madrid 2-1 on aggregate in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday night but will be looking to give Arsene Wenger a fitting farewell in his last home game as the club’s manager this weekend.
With there being little to play for now in the Premier League, this Sunday they take on Burnley, who sit behind the Gunners in 7th.
Arsenal are three points clear of Sean Dyche’s side and they have a game in hand. Even though a 6th place finish isn’t where Arsenal want to be, Wenger will want to make sure that they secure it as a matter of pride.
After the defeat last night, Arsenal have nothing to play for but the fans and players will want to give him a good send-off as he leaves the club after 22 years in charge.
