Arsenal player ratings: Atletico Madrid (A)

Arsenal bowed out of the Europa League as they were beaten 1-0 in Spain, meaning they were knocked out 2-1 on aggregate by Atlético Madrid.

It was a fine performance from Arsene Wenger’s side but they just couldn’t find a way through on a frustrating night for the North London club.

Diego Costa scored the all important goal on the night just before the half-time break.

Captain Laurent Koscielny was forced off injured early on which didn’t help his sides rhythm as they struggled for a spell which followed.

Madrid defended stubbornly as they qualified for the final which is set to take place in Lyon later this month, where they will face the winner of Marseille and Salzburg, who are currently in extra-time.

Here is how we rated the Gunners players following the loss to Madrid this evening.
