Arsenal player ratings: Manchester United (A)

A much-changed Arsenal side put in a spirited performance but were consigned to a defeat late on as Manchester United claimed a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.

With Thursday’s Europa League second leg clash with Atletico Madrid in mind, Arsene Wenger elected to make wholesale changes for the trip to Old Trafford with fringe and younger players all getting a rare run-outs.

Paul Pogba gave United an early lead in the opening half after good work down the right from Romelu Lukaku, before the returning Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored to level the game.

Second-half substitute Marouane Fellaini made the all-important difference, scoring the winner in added time after a brilliant cross from Ashley Young.

There were a number of fine performances from the Gunners on what was a tough day for Arsene Wenger, as he managed his final Arsenal game at Old Trafford.

Here is how we rated the Gunners following the defeat at the hands of Manchester United.
