Arsene Wenger has revealed that the timing of his resignation at Arsenal after 22 years as boss of the Gunners was not his decision, as quoted by The Mirror.
Wenger spoke to the media prior to the first leg of the Europa League semi-final against Atlético de Madrid, which takes place on Thursday, with the second leg next Thursday at the Wanda Metropolitano in the Spanish capital.
The Frenchman has also said that although there have been many calls for him to resign or for the board to part company with him and hire a new manager, the Arsenal fans who wished him out of a job may not have been a majority over the past few years.
