Patrick Vieira says he is ready to take on the Arsenal manager’s job, according to the Daily Star.
Last week, Arsene Wenger announced that he would be stepping down at the end of the season after his legendary 22-year tenure at the club.
There has already been plenty of speculation on who will be his successor but former Arsenal midfielder Vieira has firmly put his name in the hat.

Vieira is currently in charge of MLS side New York City and after turning them into serious contenders, he believes he has improved as a coach.
Speaking to Goal, Vieira was asked whether he feels he is ready for the Arsenal job.
Vieira replied:
If the question is if I’m ready, yes I’m ready.
However, Arsenal are yet to make any offer to the 41-year-old over the position. When asked whether there had been any contact from the North London club, Vieira said:
Honestly, and seriously, no.
The three time title winner is out of contract at New York City at the end of the season so it would not cost the Gunners any compensation if they do wish to hire him.
