Arsenal star tells friends he’s leaving the club this summer

Everton and West Ham target Jack Wilshere has told his friends that he will be leaving Arsenal in the summer, according to the Daily Star.

Wilshere’s current contract expires at the end of the season and Arsenal have placed an £80,000 a week contract on the table for the England star but it is believed that he has no intention of signing it.

It is reported that Wilshere has told friends that he doesn’t believe Arsene Wenger will offer him and improved contract and that he would therefore be resigned to departing the North London club in the summer.

The midfielder could get a huge signing-on fee and far greater wages elsewhere, with Everton and West Ham both said to be interested.

Wilshere has been with the Gunners since the age of nine and despite it always being assumed that he would sign a new deal with the club, it now looks as though he could depart in the summer.
