Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez has admitted that it’s nice to be linked with the Arsenal manager’s job but he is hoping to get the assurances he needs to keep him at Newcastle, according to the Metro.
The Magpies are safe in the Premier League having won their last four games and they are now targeting a top ten finish.
Newcastle claimed a much needed win against the Gunners at the weekend which led to some Arsenal supporters wanting their club to replace Arsene Wenger with Benitez at the end of the season.
The former Liverpool boss has done an amazing job at the North East club. having been given very little funds to work with this season
Benitez spoke about the situation in a recent interview:
