Arsenal fear that Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be out for the season after picking up a knee injury against CSKA Moscow.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s game with Southampton this weekend, manager Arsene Wenger said that the Armenian international will be sent for a scan, but there are fears that he’s damaged ligaments in his knee, and if that proves to be the case, that could be the end of his season.
Wenger said:
Micki came off and he will be out for Sunday. He has a scan and the fear is that his medial knee ligament has been touched. We’ll know more about that soon. For how long he will be out, I don’t know.

Mkhitaryan joined Arsenal in January as part of a deal which saw Alexis Sanchez move to Manchester United.
He hasn’t always been at his best in the Premier League, but he’s performed really well in Europe and his absence, if confirmed, will be a huge blow for the Gunners.
Mkhitaryan definitely won’t feature against the Saints on Sunday and he’ll be joined on the sidelines by youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is also injured.
