Arsenal have been long-term suitors of Julian Draxler but, it has emerged that Liverpool are set to move in ahead of the Gunners and complete the deal according to Football Talk.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is thought to be very keen on the player and has asked his advisors to make a move for him ahead of summer window.
Draxler only joined his current club, PSG in 2017 for £28 million and is thought of as one of the best prospects in the continent.
His early life in the French top league begun well netting ten times in his 25 appearances but following some big-name signings with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe coming in his game time has been limited to say the least.
PSG are prepared to sacrifice losing the 24-year-old with Liverpool looking to exploit the situation.
Wenger is still keen on the player and could well prove to be an interesting battle for his signature.
