Arsenal eye up move for World Cup winner

Germany national team manager Joachim Low is the head candidate for the role at Arsenal when Arsene Wenger leaves the club according to ESPN.

The Arsenal manager’s 22-year spell at the club is set to come to an end after another poor season at the Emirates which has seen them slip 13 points off 4th place Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal have lost four consecutive games in all competitions which has increased the pressure on Arsene Wenger this week.

Wenger’s current contract is not set to come to an end until the end of next season but the board are set to make a decision on the manager’s future in the coming weeks.

Low is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League, but he is under contract with the German national team until the end of the Euro’s in 2020. He could be tempted on a club role following this summer’s World Cup, though.

He has been in the role with Germany for 12 years now and is interested in a new challenge for the future.
