Arsenal and Everton are both interested in hiring their former midfielder Mikel Arteta, according to the Mirror.
Both the Gunners and Everton are likely to be in the market for a new manager this summer.
Arsene Wenger is being tipped to leave the club at the end of the season with the Gunners unlikely to make the top four.
Everton themselves have struggled under Sam Allardyce this season and are likely to be looking for a change in the dugout.
Arteta has never hidden his intention to go into management and took the first steps by joining Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City.
The 35-year-old is highly thought of at both clubs and remains a popular figure among both sets of fans.
The report suggests that Wenger is open to the idea of the Spaniard replacing him if it meant him moving upstairs into a different role at the club.
