Arsenal produced another atrocious performance as they were well beaten 3-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this evening.
First-half goals from Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and David Silva were enough to seal the Gunners’ defeat.
This follows City’s 3-0 win against Arsenal just a couple of days ago in the Carabao Cup final.
Arsene Wenger’s side looked lost of ideas and really struggled throughout the match and offered nothing in an attacking sense.
January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also missed a penalty in the second-half on what was a very frustrating night for the team.
The Gunners really struggled without Jack Wilshere in the side as he was missing on the night through injury.
Wenger’s side looked well off it and are a way off the top four and look a side shot of confidence and look like they could struggle throughout the rest of the season.
Here is how we rated Arsenal’s players following the defeat.
Petr Cech - 6
Another poor performance from Cech as he still goes in search of that 200th Premier League clean sheet.
Hector Bellerin -5
A shocking game from the Spanish defender again as City caused him a whole host of problems.
Skhodran Mustafi -6
Struggled to cope with City yet again and looked really out of depth throughout the game.
Laurent Koscielny -5
Much like Mustafi he struggled throughout the game and looks out of his depth against the bigger teams in the division .
Sead Kolasinac - 5
Came in for the injured Monreal but, really failed to live up to expectation and even picked up a booking.
Granit Xhaka - 5
A woeful performance once again from the midfielder as he really looks out of place and could do with a rest.
Aaron Ramsey - 7
Came back into the side and was one of the better performers for the Gunners on the night.
Henrikh Mkhitryan - 5
Another tough night for the January signing as he failed to create too much of an impact on the game.
Mesut Ozil - 5
Once more failed to turn up in a big game and looked a very frustrated figure on the pitch throughout the game.
Danny Welbeck - 4
He found it difficult to make any sort of positive impact on the match and looks like he could be heading out the door in the summer.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - 6
A tough night for the Gabon international as he missed a penalty and spurned a number of chances in the game.
