# Henry talks up ‘dream’ Arsenal job

Former Gunners striker Thierry Henry has described the possibility of replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal as a ‘dream’.

As per a report from the [London Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/thierry-henry-replace-arsene-wenger-arsenal-legend-dream-manager-job-a3775321.html), Henry, who was speaking on Sky Sports, played down suggestions he could replace the long-serving Arsenal manager but was unable hide his desire for the role.

> I still have a job to do with Belgium, but let’s see what’s going to happen. It will be a dream for me, but I’m still with Belgium.
>
> Interested? Yes, who wouldn’t be? But I can’t talk about that out of respect for the man that is in charge still and my job that I’m doing right now with Belgium. But who wouldn’t be interested?

There have been yet more calls for Wenger to step down this summer following Arsenal’s embarrassing Carabao Cup defeat at Wembley against Manchester City.

The former Arsenal striker is currently working alongside Roberto Martinez with the Belgium national team and has never hidden his plans to go into management.

Henry has already worked at the club previously as the club’s U-18s coach but gave up the role as he focused on his punditry career with Sky Sports.

Wenger is out of contract at the end of next season but reports have suggested he can address his situation in the summer.
