# Arsenal forward keen to leave the club this summer

After showing signs of potential prior to his arrival at Arsenal many years ago, Joel Campbell has become a forgotten man at the Emirates.

The Costa Rica has often shown his quality at international level but has never been able to establish himself as a worthy member of Arsene Wenger’s first-team squad at Arsenal.

Campbell has been shipped out on loan across Europe on numerous occasions and it seems he is looking to leave the club for good when the summer transfer window comes around.

The 25-year-old has been discussing his future with Radio Marca Sevilla in Spain, as cited by [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/arsenal-news-loan-real-betis-forward-joel-campbell-does-not-want-come-back-emirates), and revealed that he intends to remain at Real Betis for many years to come.

> My idea is to stay here for many years but those decisions are not mine. I have been lucky enough to enjoy lots of different clubs and leagues but I like it here.

Campbell is seemingly loving life under Quique Setien with Betis, with the team establishing themselves as one of the most attractive sides in La Liga despite their inconsistencies.

Arsenal signed Campbell in 2011 but it seems that he will now finally put pen to paper on a permanent switch away from North London after an unsettling period.
