# Arsenal join Chelsea and Liverpool in race for Marco Asensio

Arsenal are reportedly the latest side to express an interest in signing Marco Asensio from Real Madrid this summer.

The Spaniard is said to be in a state of discontent at the Bernabeu, with his game time being severely restricted by manager Zinedine Zidane so far this season.

Asensio has been linked with a number of teams in recent times, notably Chelsea and Liverpool but according to Spanish news outlet [Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/real-madrid/chelsea-quiere-asensio-por-hazard-6628931), Arsenal are the latest side to join the race for his signature.

The young playmaker has proven on many occasions that he is one of Europe’s most promising players but it seems he is now determined to secure regular first-team football, and he will leave Real if he has to do so.

However, even if Asensio does indeed decide that he’d like to seek pastures new at the end of the season, Sport report that Real Madrid are adamant that they will keep hold of the starlet.
