Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey is quickly establishing himself as one of European football’s brightest young talent.
The Jamaican international has been in superb form in the Bundesliga this season and as a result of his often electrifying displays, clubs such as Arsenal have been linked with a move for him.
Bailey was wanted by Arsenal in the January transfer window, if reports are to be believed, but Leverkusen wanted to retain his services until the end of the ongoing season at the very least.
According to German news outlet Kicker, as cited by talkSPORT, chiefs at Leverkusen hold Bailey in the same light as Ousmane Dembele, who joined Barcelona for a fee close to £100 million from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
Therefore, it is claimed that Leverkusen will accept offers of no less than this sum, as they aim to fend off potential suitors.
Arsenal are unlikely to give up the ghost in their pursuit of Bailey, though, and their interest will surely only intensify if he continues to turn in outstanding displays in the German top flight.
