Club-record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made the perfect start to his Arsenal career, brilliantly dinking the ball over Jordan Pickford to open his account on his debut.
Laurent Koscielny also got in on the act with a goal, as he headed home from close range after Mustafi’s flick on from a corner.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back for Everton late in the second-half, with Petr Cech going off with a calf injury moments later, but that was not enough to avoid an embarrassing defeat for Sam Allardyce’s team.
