# Arsenal to go back in for Malcom this summer

Arsenal will look to go back in for Bordeaux winger Malcom this summer after failing to land the player in January.

The [London Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-to-revist-malcom-transfer-in-the-summer-and-could-move-for-jan-oblak-a3755746.html) reports that Malcom will come under consideration once again at the end of the season, despite the player only joining Bordeaux in the summer.

James Olley of the London Evening Standard said:

> The Gunners have invested considerable resources in the attacking options and while they will be open to strengthening further in this area – Bordeaux winger Malcom is a possible target they could revisit.

Both the Gunners and local rivals Spurs were heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian youngster, who has been impressing in Ligue 1 this season.

There had been some suggestions that Spurs had won the race to sign him in January, with a deal lined up that would see him return to France on loan until the summer.

In 20 league starts this season Malcom has netted eight times in a struggling Bordeaux side.

He scored and put in a Man of the Match performance during Bordeaux’s most recent victory against Champions League-chasing Lyon.
