Arsenal succumbed to an embarrassing defeat at the hands of relegation-troubled Swansea City on Tuesday night.
It was a must-win match for the Gunners but they failed to convinced and were put to the sword by Carlos Carvalhal’s men, who impressed in front of their home fans.
Arsenal took the lead through Nacho Monreal but were level soon after, as Sam Clucas netted an equaliser.
The second-half came and Arsenal fell apart. Petr Cech made a catastrophic error to allow Jordan Ayew in and Swansea took a 2-1 lead. It has to be said, the Welsh outfit were well worth their advantage.
Clucas netted his second of the night before the conclusion of the match to further compound Arsenal’s misery and send them home with nothing to show for what was a terrible display.
