That is, according to BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein, who claims that a sum near £60 million is close to being agreed on between the two clubs as a late move continues to develop.
Arsenal have been chasing Aubameyang’s signature for the duration of the January transfer window and want to recruit the Gabon international in swift fashion.

The experienced forward has been subject to exclusions from the Dortmund squad on several occasions this season, mainly on disciplinary grounds. He was also jeered by the club’s fans as he took to the field in Dortmund’s 2-2 draw with Freiburg at the weekend.
Ornstein claims, though, that Dortmund will only sanction the sale of their star man if they can successfully secure the services of a replacement. They have previously targeted Olivier Giroud but it is unclear whether or not a deal will be struck for the Frenchman.
