Borussia Dortmund boss Peter Stoger has recalled striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back into his squad as talk of a move to Arsenal rumbles on.
The Evening Standard reports that the Bundesliga side will recall the Gabon international and use him in their squad until a deal is complete. Speaking about the player, Stoger said:
He showed a very focused and professional week of training and gives the impression that he will give everything for BVB, and because of that, we want to use his quality.
A move to sign Aubameyang as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez appeared to be fairly straightforward, but Dortmund are holding out for an improved bid from the Gunners.
Arsenal have already failed with a £50 million bid for the striker, with Dortmund hoping to receive a fee in the region of £65 million.
The Bundesliga outfit are ready to sell the player this month following yet more disciplinary issues disrupting the squad.
A deal that would see Olivier Giroud move in the opposite direction has been discussed, but now appears unlikely.
The French striker would move further down the pecking order at the Emirates should Aubameyang join this month.
