# Arsenal table offer in excess of £50m for Aubameyang

Arsenal have tabled an offer in excess of £50m for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

[According to The London Evening Standard,](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-are-closing-in-on-pierreemerick-aubameyang-signing-with-increased-offer-for-dortmund-striker-a3748211.html) Arsenal have made their second bid for Aubameyang as they look to prize him away from Dortmund this month.

Dortmund are open to selling the striker after a number of off-field issues over his attitude and commitment to the club, but have set a hefty price-tag over his head.

The German club are looking to net £55m from the sale of Aubameyang, which would be a club-record deal for Arsenal.

However, Arsenal are unwilling to pay more than they spent on Alexandre Lacazette, which was £52.7m from Lyon last summer.

The report claims that Arsenal have offered in excess of £50m, but under £52.7m, with the offer coming somewhere in between.

It is also claimed that Dortmund would like Olivier Giroud to join on loan from Arsenal as part of any deal for Aubameyang.

Arsenal have already had an offer of £45m rejected for the prolific centre-forward this month.
