Arsene Wenger’s hopes of signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United, with Alexis Sanchez going the other way, is still up in the air, according to BBC.
Both Mkhitaryan and Sanchez turned up for training at their current clubs on Friday, but it is still unclear whether the pair will be involved in the matchday squads for their respective sides.
The 28-year-old Armenian international is personally open to a move to the Emirates, however, wants an increase on his current £140,000-a-week wage at Old Trafford and hopes to secure a long-term contract worth up to £200,000 a week for him to move to London.

When speaking to the media ahead of the Gunners weekend fixture against Crystal Palace, Wenger admitted that Sanchez’s move to rivals United was ‘likely to happen’ after he trained with the club’s youngsters on Thursday.
Both clubs are expecting to know one way or the other in the coming days whether the deal is going to get the go ahead, in what has been the story of the January window so far.
