Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Mesut Ozil will not leave Arsenal in this January transfer window, despite ongoing rumours about his future, according to James Olley.
Ozil, along with Arsenal teammate Alexis Sanchez, has been at the centre of the transfer window saga of rumours and speculation, as both of their contracts are out in the summer and are now able to talk to clubs to join for a free transfer in the summer on a pre-contract agreement.
Sanchez looks like he will be leaving the Emirates soon for Old Trafford, as Manchester United look to complete a swap deal with the Gunners for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Whereas, Ozil has also been linked with a move to Manchester United, as well as Barcelona, with the latter losing interest in the German international after capturing the signature of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
Arsenal currently sit sixth in the Premier League, five points behind arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur and eight points shy of Liverpool and Chelsea who make third and fourth place.
So for this uphill and long battle, as well as the League Cup and Europa League run, Arsenal will need their best players, and while Sanchez is on the verge of heading up north, keeping Ozil will be a huge boost for the Gunners.
