The latest development in the Alexis Sanchez/Henrikh Mkhitaryan saga is that it is believed that Arsenal are demanding the player plus an additional £10 million for Manchester United to get the services of Alexis Sanchez, according to The Evening Standard.
It was reported that Arsenal and Manchester United would use the two players in a straight swap deal, but it looks like Arsenal may gain financially as well.
Sanchez has been at the heart of the transfer window rumours, but it looks like a deal with Arsenal’s rivals from the North might be nearly done, with José Mourinho looking ever more likely to sign the Chilean.
The deal looks to be close, with Sanchez reportedly accepting an offer of around £14 million per year to play at Old Trafford, and will take over the famous number seven shirt, previously worn by George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Mkhitaryan looks likely to join the Gunners and would suit more or less in the same enough position that Sanchez plays in, meaning that the attack would consist of Mkhitaryan, Ozil and Lacazette.
