# Arsenal closing in on Malcom deal

Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Bordeaux winger Malcom before the end of the week.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/how-alexis-sanchezs-35million-move-11852549) Arsenal are close to securing a £35m deal to sign Malcom.

The report claims that Malcom’s representatives were in London last week, ahead of a potential switch to The Emirates.

Arsenal are looking to replace Alexis Sanchez, who is set to sign for Manchester United in the coming days.

The club are set to pocket £35m from the Sanchez deal, which looks set to be reinvested in Malcom with no delay.

Arsene Wenger wants his replacement in as soon as possible, with Malcom his number one target.

The 20-year-old has scored seven goals in Ligue 1 this season and is seen as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe.

The Mirror also claim that a number of top sides from across Europe have been interested in Malcom, though Arsenal look set to have a clear run at him this month.
