Kolasinac and Mustafi joke about luring Draxler to Arsenal

Sead Kolasinac and Shkodran Mustafi have joked that they were trying to lure Julian Draxler to sign for Arsenal after the trio were spotted at the NBA event in London.

Draxler has been excellent since joining Paris Saint-Germain in the last January transfer window from Wolfsburg. However, with the summer arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Jr, who together make a brilliant attacking trio along with Edinson Cavani, Draxler has found it hard to get minutes.

He was at the NBA game of the Philadelphia 76ers vs Boston Celtics at the O2 Arena, along with London residents Kolasinac and Mustafi, both of whom he has played with during his career.

Speaking about the three seeing each other in the capital, Mustafi jokingly said, via Goal:

That’s (signing for Arsenal) the reason why he came here.

Kolasinac then added:

Julian is a very good friend of mine and a good football player.

Nevertheless, he has to decide on his own where his way will go to. Maybe he stays in Paris, maybe not. He has to decide that on his own. Then we’ll see what’s going to happen.

When quizzed about being in London, Draxler said the trip was purely to see his friends.

Yes, but mostly because of my best friend Sead and of course because of my [Germany] team-mate Musti [Mustafi].
