# Milan not interested in Walcott move

[AC Milan](https://readseriea.com/) are not interested in signing [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) winger Theo Walcott this month, [according to Calcio Mercato, via Inside Futbol.](https://www.insidefutbol.com/2018/01/08/ac-milan-refuse-to-enter-race-for-everton-and-southampton-target-theo-walcott/362632/)

The report claims that Milan are not interested in signing Walcott, as they look to strengthen the defensive side of their squad instead.

Reports earlier this month suggested that Walcott was keen on a move to Italy, and Milan in particular, with [Inter Milan](https://readseriea.com/) and Roma also being linked with his signature.

Milan, however, are not actively pursuing a move for Walcott, leaving one less team in the running.

Southampton are one of the clubs trying to sign Walcott this month to strengthen their attacking options, bringing him back to the club where he started his career as a teenager.

The England international looks set to leave [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) in a bid to force himself into the England squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.

Alexandre Lacazette and Olivier Giroud are preferred up front at [Arsenal](https://readarsenal.com/) at the moment.
