Arsenal will reportedly go head to head with Manchester United as they look to land Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Fred in January.
According to an exclusive report from the Daily Star, the Gunners are keen to land the Brazilian midfielder, who has been impressive for Shakhtar this season.
It’s stated in the report that Arsenal will go toe to toe with fellow Premier League giants Manchester United for Fred’s signature, with the midfielder attracting interest from across Europe in recent months.

Many of Shakhtar’s stars have been linked with moves to top clubs across Europe, including Bernard, and it comes as no surprise to see Fred touted with a big move having been so impressive in Paulo Fonseca’s side this season.
The 24-year-old will not come cheap if he is to move on from Ukraine, though.
According to the Star, it will take an offer worth around £30 million to lure him away from Shakhtar.
