# Wenger wants Bundesliga loan for Mavropanos

Arsenal are hoping to reach an agreement to loan out new signing Konstantinos Mavropanos to a German club, [with talkSPORT reporting](https://talksport.com/football/arsenal-hoping-send-konstantinos-mavropanos-loan-werder-bremen-180105267504) that Werder Bremen are the club most likely to land him.

The Gunners confirmed the signing of the former PAS Giannina defender last week, spending a small fee of £2.2million on the 20-year old Greek.

But Arsenal wants to loan the youngster out, to ensure he picks up valuable first-team experience, preferably at top level club.

Talking about Mavropanos’ loan potential, Arsene Wenger said;

> He is with us now, but the plan is for him to go out on loan to play somewhere.

> It can be a German club and I prefer him to play where he plays at the top level and gains experience.

> He is 20 and not ready to start for us, so it is important he gains experience.

The Greece Under-21 international has played just 20 times in senior club football with Giannina, scoring three goals.
