Wenger says no interest in Aubameyang

Arsene Wenger has spoken and said that he has no interest in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as reported by Miguel Delaney.

The Dortmund man, who has been in Germany since 2013, has been linked with a move to the Emirates as a potential replacement for either attacker Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez, or as a partner to Alexandre Lacazette.

Ozil’s and Sanchez’s contract run out at the end of this current campaign and are available now to talk to foreign clubs over a potential free transfer on a pre-contract agreement.

The Gabonese striker, who last season was the Bundesliga’s highest goalscorer with 31 goals, has been linked with transfers all over the world in recent years and transfer windows due to his world-class performances in a black and yellow shirt.

Dortmund are currently are currently, along with the rest of the Bundesliga, on their winter break, and have two friendlies against Dusseldorf and Waregem before their next Bundesliga match at home to Wolfsburg next Sunday.

Dortmund currently sit third in the Bundesliga, 13 points behind Bayern Munich, despite setting the pace in the first 10 games of the season.

Aubameyang is the second top goalscorer on 13, two behind Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
