Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on Boca Juniors star Cristian Pavon.
According to the Independent, the Gunners have been extensively watching the Argentina international as he continues to develop in his homeland with Boca.
Pavon has gone from strength to strength in the last few years having burst onto the scene with Boca Juniors and it has not been without catching the attention of clubs in Europe.
According to the report, Pavon is valued at £20m by his side, with Boca holding him in extremely high regard given his age and potential. It’s stated that Arsenal see him as a potentially perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez, whose contract is only months away from its expiration.
However, Boca aren’t keen to offload such a key player in January, with the club aiming to retain Pavon’s services until the end of the season at the very least.
Arsenal are set to be busy in January, as they prepare for the inevitable departures of Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
