Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has denied that he is interested in bringing David Luiz to the Emirates, describing the reports as ‘wrong’ according to the Evening Standard.

Luiz, 30, has only made 13 appearances for the Blues this season, amid rumours of a fall out with manager Antonio Conte, and was rumoured to be on Wenger’s wish list, however, the Arsenal boss has squashed rumours of a potential move for the Brazilian international.

The Gunners are thought to be interested in adding to their defensive options during the current window, but won’t be making a move for Luiz, who has been out since the end of November with a knee injury.
Wenger is still thought to be trying to persuade the trio of Jack Wilshere, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to all sign new deals with the Gunners, who will all be free to leave the Emirates for nothing in the summer if they don’t sign a new deal.
