Arsenal were left frustrated by some refereeing incompetence in their 1-1 draw away at West Brom.
It was an end to end encounter between the two sides on Sunday afternoon and the spoils were ultimately shared. Several chances were missed and both sides aimed to attack throughout.
The Gunners took the lead through Alexis Sanchez. His deflected free-kick was good enough to find its way beyond Ben Foster in the Baggies goal to hand Arsenal a one-goal advantage.
However, controversy followed in the dying stages of the game as Mike Dean pointed to the spot in Arsenal’s box. The referee seemingly believed that Calum Chambers handled in the box, causing outrage on the Arsenal bench and with the players on the pitch. Jay Rodriguez stepped up and duly dispatched the late spot-kick.
It was a massively frustrating outcome for the Gunners. Here’s how we rated their performances on the day.
