Arsenal’s proposed move for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has been complicated by the La Liga side’s decision to sack Eduardo Berizzo.
As reported by the Mirror, it was Berizzo that had fallen out with N’Zonzi earlier this season.
Despite sitting fifth in La Liga, Sevilla parted ways with Berizzo after a string of uninspiring performances.

The French midfielder had fallen out of favour and looked set for a January exit, but that could change with a new manager coming into the club.
Everton have also expressed an interest in the midfielder, who has recently been spotted flying into London.
However, reports that he has flown in for talks over a January move have been played down.
N’Zonzi has already claimed that he sees his future elsewhere but it is yet to be seen who will replace Berizzo and whether or not the Frenchman figures in their plans.
