Marseille are reportedly keen on signing Jack Wilshere in the January transfer window, with Arsenal still not offering the Englishman a contract, according to the Daily Star.
Wilshere has been back in form recently and getting more minutes under his belt in an Arsenal shirt, starting the last two Premier League games against West Ham and Newcastle United.
However, with talks of a new contract on the cards, he still hasn’t received one yet from Arsene Wenger, who says contract talks will start at the end of December.
Wilshere may sign a new contract, but if he doesn’t, as his current deal at the Emirates runs out in the summer of 2018, he will be able to talk to foreign clubs on a pre-contract agreement, with many foreign clubs looking eagerly at the 25-year-old.

Some Spanish clubs are keen on taking Wilshere away from the Premier League, but French giants Marseille look like they are most likely to sign him.
Wilshere is looking to get more minutes playing as he wishes to be on Gareth Southgate’s plane to Russia in 2018 playing for England at the World Cup.
If Wenger doesn’t give him a contract and Wilshere does end up leaving the Emirates for another club, whether it be a domestic rival or a club abroad, Arsenal will be losing a very creative and talented player.
However, contract talks may have started and it is important to not forget that Wilshere is an Arsenal boy, and that may turn things in the Gunners’ favour.
